Mounted Archery Skill
Keft earned his field commission on “The Marches,” fighting
barbarian tribes in Norther March. He
gained the “Red Blade” in
single-combat with a chieftain. His
leadership skills earned him a nearly unprecedented (for a Commoner) promotion
to Captain. Keft was famous enough that
Prince Maxter requested him and his unit be reassigned to him when the Prince
was “exiled” to Cross. It’s been a hard
adjustment in climate and foes, but the men have performed well. Keft’s Dragontooth Spear is his latest
trophy, courtesy of a dead Orc clan leader.
Keft is normally unarmored around town, but carries his sword
everywhere. His magnificent white horse,
Charger, displays an uncanny level of
intelligence and loyalty.
Red Blade Cavalry
Trooper

HD 3 (d10), Hp 18, AC 16 (Chain mail, Steel Shield)

Stun, breaks Lance, except on Natural hit
Ranged: Longbow +4 to hit 1d8, L
Mounted Archery Skill
While Keft was only able to take a squad of his cavalry
company to join him at his new post, he picked the best veteran troopers. While there’s only 12 of them, they are the
backbone of Cross’ defense. Before
expected combat, they will ritually dip their swords and lances in red
paint.
Sergeant Gallows, Red
Blade Commander

HD 4 (d10), Hp 28, AC 16 (Chain mail, Steel Shield)
Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +3
Melee: Longsword +6 to hit 1d8+2
Charge: Lance +6 to hit 1d8+2, Reach, Max damage +
Stun, breaks Lance, except on Natural hit
Ranged: Longbow +5 to hit 1d8, L
Mounted Archery Skill
The “Antique” as Sgt Gallows is called, nominally commands
the unit. (Keft will personally lead them
in field combat.) Gruff, no-nonsense old
time veteran, Gallows has seen everything.
