Fenris

Frightening looking mountain man in his 40’s.

Fenris is one of the four High-Master Druids in Ireland, only answerable to the Grand Master, and he is renown for his magical power. He is the only druid in the area, which is very odd. His presence here is rumored, but unconfirmed. Fenris knows the Shapechange spell, but chooses not to use it. His purposes here are left undefined to allow you to hook this area into larger plots in the country. His older brother is the parish priest, Father Macgillycuddy, and their relationship is also left undefined.

7th level Druid, Hp 50, AC 14 (+1 leather, AC 16 with Barkskin spell)
Fort +3 Ref +3 Will +7
Melee: +2 Magic Club +10 to hit 1d8+3
Ranged: +2 Elvish Longbow +10 to hit 1d8+2

Spells: Fenris knows all of the Druid spells up to 4th level. These are the ones he would typically use in combat.
Entangle: Plants entangle everyone in 40-ft.-radius. RS to avoid. DC 18 Str to break or Escape Artist skill. (To cast +7 DC 13, Ref Sv DC 16 to avoid)
Obscuring Mist: Fog surrounds you. Lasts 1 turn. (To cast +7 DC 13)
Barkskin: Grants +2 enhancement to natural armor. Lasts for 1 turn/encounter. (To cast +7 DC 14)
Fireball: 4d8 fire damage, 20-ft. radius. (To cast +7 DC 14, Ref Sv DC 16 ½ dam)
Chain Lightning: 4d12 electrical damage (max 5). (To cast +7 DC 16, Ref Sv 16 ½ dam)

+6 Stealth skill, First Aid skill


Werewolves (Fenris’ witch groupies)
Tia (Nialls Kavanagh’s daughter) and Leah (Fenris’ live-in lover), both are attractive but somewhat wild-looking, nature-loving older teen girls.

These two have been recruited by Fenris as his lovers and trained as his witch assistants for his mysterious purposes. He has taught them how to take animal form as well. (This type of lycanthropy is neither a disease, nor demonic possession.) Tia is a secret disciple and no one has made the connection yet, as she is assumed to be just catting around like her loose sister. Leah lives with Fenris and acts as his agent in dealing with the people in the county.

HD 4 (3rd level Witches), Hp 20, AC 16* Silver or Magic to hit
Fort +8 Ref +5, Will +2
Melee (Werewolf form): Claw +4 to hit 1d4+2
Melee (Human form): Silver Dagger +1 to hit 1d4

Spells: Generally the girls will only take werewolf form at night (1 rd to transform). If confronted during the day or in human form, they will rely on their spellcasting. These are their typical combat spells.
Blindness/Deafness: Makes subject magically blinded or deafened. Encounter. (To cast +3 DC 14, Fort Sv 14)
Darkness: 20-ft. radius of supernatural shadow. 3 turns. (To cast +3 DC 14)
Magic Missile: 3d6 magic damage. (To cast +3 DC 13, Ref Sv 14)
Burning Hands: 3d6 fire damage. (To cast +3 DC 13, Ref Sv 14)


Wolf Pack
These animals are blindly loyal to Fenris and his witches. They will defend them to the death.

HD 2+4, Hp 13, AC 14
Fort +5, Ref +5, Will +1
Melee: Bite +3 to hit 1d6+1
