Description: An honorable warrior specializing in the swift killing of their enemies. A Samurai's deathless duty is to their lord.  The character Samurai is likely a Ronin, a Samurai who has lost their liege.  Their current motives might be vengeance against their lord’s killers, meeting out justice to those oppressing the helpless, seeking out worthy opponents to test their skill on, or some other inscrutable purpose.  Their past may be common knowledge, carefully shared to trusted confidants, or totally mysterious. 10th level example: Miyamoto Musashi.
Hit Die: d12
Prime Abilities: Str, Dex, Con
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Samurai's preferred weapon is the Katana (equivalent to a bastard sword, 1d10) and the Wakizashi (equivalent to a long sword, 1d8), but they are proficient with all weapons. Any armor may be used, but it will impede their Dual Strike and Deadly Strike abilities. Shields may not be used.
Standard Starting Gear: 5+1d10 GP, pack, 3 days rations, waterskin, 2 useful items, Katana and Wakizashi.

Deadly Strike: Any melee hit using a Katana automatically causes maximum damage on a Natural roll that meets or exceeds the Deadly Strike number.
Dual Strike: When using a Katana and Wakizashi together, the Samurai may make two separate attacks.  These attacks may be used against a single opponent or divided against multiple opponents that are within reach.  The Katana attack is at the first BAB value, the Wakizashi attack at the second BAB value.  The Deadly Strike ability does not apply for these attacks.
Crack Shot and Mounted Archery: Samurai are excellent archers. They may make a successful bow attack into a melee fight without making a Called Shot, and make a ranged bow attack with their full BAB while mounted.
Detection: A Samurai may detect ambushes and traps adding (Int + Wis bonuses)/2 + ½ level to the attempt. This does not apply to trapped items.
Immunities: Samurai are immune to fear and charm effects.
