CHARACTER GENERATION
Choose
a Class
Urban
Ranger, Occultist,
or Psi-Hacker. Then choose your
race for that class. Your character is
essentially starting at 5th level, compared to a Fantasy Core
character. They are considered well
experienced in their fields. Pick a real
name and a Handle, Nickname, or Clan Tag, if desired.
Roll
for Ability Bonuses
Make
ability bonus score rolls as determined by your class and race choices. Arrange as desired.
Enhanced
Stat: roll 1d6 - 1
+1, 2-3 +2, 4-5 +3, 6 +4
Normal
Stat: roll 1d6 - 1-3
0, 4-5 +1, 6 +2
Subprime
Stat: No bonus
Strength (Str): Physical prowess. Add bonus to melee attacks and damage.
Dexterity (Dex): Coordination and
balance. Add bonus to ranged attacks,
AC, and Reflex saves.
Constitution (Con): Physical stamina. Add bonus to hp and Fort saves.
Intelligence (Int): Experience and
learning.
Wisdom (Wis): Conscience, intuition, and
empathy. Add bonus to Will saves.
Charisma (Cha): Forcefulness or
persuasiveness of personality.
Choose
Starting Edges
Edges are Implants, bonus abilities, and
special equipment that your character has that makes them distinctive in their
fields.
Choose
Starting Equipment
Since
your characters are experienced, they can have whatever minor gear they want to
start with. Everyone should have a Faker
ID and 1 Burn ID, some sort of armor, a firearm, and a melee
weapon.
Come
Up With Background and Goals
How did
your character end up as a Zero? This
can be detailed or just a quick sentence.
What’s your character’s objective?
Certainly they likely want out of the Shadow World, but what else and
how?
Come
Up With a Group (Crew)
Why are
these characters together? This can be a
formal team/business arrangement or a closer relationship. What’s the group’s goal, if they have
one? Come up with a name for the Crew.
