Postcards From the Edge: Mom's Family Cards 39

Ouray, Colorado.  Looks very scenic . . . in the summer time.  In winter, the whole thing is probably buried.

Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado.  This is the Long House.

Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico.  This is the Bat Flight Amphitheater.  Unfortunately, the bats weren't there when we were there according to the postcard.  However, my friend, Mike, was there and saw the bats.  The bats come out at twilight and the Rangers warn visitors not to photograph or film the bats as the lights will disturb them.  Visitors will ignore this, photo lights go off, the bats scatter, and the Rangers will yell at the visitors.
