There is a ground sensor field surrounding the estate (DC 12
to hack), along with a menacing, lumbering Security Bot. If the sensors are set off, the security
center will focus their cameras on the area and deploy the Bot to engage. On autonomous operation, the Bot stays away
from any areas where a guest might see it.
It makes the rounds of the compound every five minutes.
If it finds anything or is attacked, the Bot will transmit
to the Security Chief Randall, who will put the estate into a quiet
lockdown, restricting guests inside. The
police will be notified and be on their way in two turns (they’d come sooner,
but the estate isn’t quick to get to).
If the Bot fails to take care of the situation, Randall and 2 guards
will investigate. Play them very
smart. Keep in mind they’ve got full
access to all sorts of security detection monitors and will coordinate with the
police outside. Any character caught
will be secured with handcuffs (DC 18 Escape Artist) and held in the Security Center
for the police.
The main thing that will be hampering the security is their
overriding concern for the safety of the guests. Next, is that they are trying to make sure
that the guests are not disturbed (like by a firefight). Finally, they are trying to avoid property
damage.
A raid without the party is going to be difficult. The security force will have no qualms about
making noise and violently taking them out.
The only bonus perhaps being that the cops won’t be called in until
after the encounter.
All of the windows are sealed and bulletproof and can only be broken open with explosives. The doors have alarms on them that ring in the security center if broken into. It is a DC 18 hack to get into the house security system. A Combat Android will investigate any failed hack attempt. Randall and a guard will investigate any break in.
