The Elvis Collection: 70's Scrapbook 21

More stories about the Graceland pilgrimage on the anniversary of his death.

Blah, blah, drug trial. Blah, blah.

OMG!  Colonel Parker made 50% on Elvis' royalties.  That is thievery.  Interesting article at the bottom about Elvis' largess and excess.

A full page picture of Elvis' doctor.  I doubt this needed to be preserved.

Don't get too excited.  Most of the released material was alternate versions of previously released material.  According to the article, the song that he sang to a bull in a movie will never be  released by Elvis' request.

I can't take any more of these drug stories.

Elvis Costello did indeed have little in common Elvis Presley musically in the top left article.  Story about Elvis coffin pictures in the bottom left.  Story about Elvis in disguise befriending a drifter in Las Vegas.  Finally something topical in the bottom right.  There with the picture of Lisa Marie, the article mentions Priscilla running into Elvis' ex-girlfriend, Linda Thompson, at an exclusive restaurant.  Thompson was there with her husband, Bruce Jenner.  Oh, how times have changed.

And with that we close out  the 70's scrapbook finally.  I don't know how to say this, but I've still got a lot more to post on Elvis.
