Postcards from the Edge: Blatant Commercialization 3

In the 80's, there was a campaign to refurbish the Statue of Liberty.  It needed the work.  President Reagan hosted the 100-th anniversary ceremony on Independence Day 1986 after the repair.

 



And there's the World Trade Center in the background.



I think dad owned one of these or close to it.  It was a pretty good car, but it was hit by another car while it was parked in our driveway.  (No, I didn't hit it learning to drive, though a couple of random teens were the culprits.)
