More sketches of Betty in charcoal and pencil. Don't let her cute looks fool you, the 40's version of her character was nuts. She was not the sweet girl-next-door in the newspaper comic strips.
The original love triangle was Veronica stringing along Archie, while Archie kept trying to get away from Betty. Who would run from this pretty blonde? It's all part of the humor, though I'll be posting some Veronica next, so you can judge for yourself. Betty would go to sometimes dangerously borderline psychotic lengths to get with Archie in the strips. She could probably get any guy. Why chase the goofy accident-prone redhead who didn't want her? Why? Because it was funny.
